What Must I Do to Get the Setup Fee Waved?
We find most of our customers do no cully complete the setup process for their hosting and domain name accounts, which creates extra work for us. To have the setup fee waived, you must complete all of the following correctly:
- Complete the entire setup process for your hosting account. For Godaddy, this means logging into your account after you have signed up, and following the directions for setting up the FTP access. This includes creating a new login name and password, and providing your domain name address.
- If your website includes a contact form of some sort, and your hosting provider is Godaddy, you must log into your account, and set the “form mail” email address to the address where you would like to receive the submitted forms.
- Log into your domain name account and change the name servers (provided by Godaddy) associated with your domain name (at your registrar website) to work with your new hosting account.
- If your hosting account comes with email(s), you must set up these accounts yourself. If you need assistance setting up email, there may be an additional setup fee besides the initial $25 fee.
- Finally, provide us with the correct FTP username and password, and the name (or web address) of your hosting provider.
